MultiChoice Ghana has announced the launch of its latest original series, Amoanimaa’s Era, a thrilling 130-episode fantasy drama airing on Akwaaba Magic (DStv channel 150) that will air every Monday to Friday at 8 PM, taking viewers back to ancient Ghana, when gods roamed the earth in full power.
The story follows the goddess Amoanimaa, played by Benedicta Gafah, who is betrayed by fellow gods, forcing her into a millennia-long slumber. Awakening in modern-day Ghana, she struggles to adapt to a world that has forgotten the gods and confronts the challenges of a tech-driven society.
With a stellar cast, including veterans Michael Afranie, Fred Amugi, and Ziggy Netteyson, Amoanimaa’s Era promises high-stakes action and suspense. Channel Head Nosisa Doe praised the production, calling it "a testament to the authentic storytelling we champion."
