We’ve updated our list of supported devices so you can still enjoy the best entertainment on the DStv App.
With the DStv App, subscribers can enjoy streaming their favourite DStv channels, series and movies – anywhere and anytime on their devices. Below is a list of the compatible devices that the DStv App supports:

What internet connection do I need in order to use DStv?
You can use DStv on any broadband internet connection, including:
A minimum internet connection download speed of 4Mbps. We recommend a 10Mbps line or faster. It is also highly recommended that you use DStv in conjunction with an uncapped internet account to avoid any data bills.
How can I control the amount of data I use when streaming video in the DStv app?
Edit your video quality settings to limit the maximum video quality for streaming Catch Up and Live TV. Choose between highest, high, medium or low quality within the ‘Maximum Video Quality’ section under Settings, or directly within the video player.
Is the video in DStv available in HD (High Definition)?
Selected Catch Up content as well as a select number of channels are available in HD (high definition).
How many devices can I register to my DStv account?
You can register a maximum of four devices to your single DStv subscription.
How to download and sign on for the DStv App:
- Download the App from the Google, Apple or Huawei app store
- Go to now.dstv.com and select Sign Up
- Fill in an email address, mobile number and choose a strong password.
- Click Create An Account
- Link to your DStv package using the DStv account holder’s ID number, DStv smartcard number, or DStv customer number.
- Look out for that confirmation email
- Log in and start watching!
