Welcome to spooky season with DStv factual highlights, 1-7 October

Right on track with October’s spooky season, DStv has a brand-new series called The Osbournes Want To Believe, starting on Travel Channel (DStv channel 179). In this series, Jack – the son of the Prince and Princess of Darkness, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne – wants to convince his parents that there is more out there that we can see or understand.

And three true-crime series are here with real, human monsters to give you chills: Homicide: Hours To Kill, Murder She Solved and Scotland's Murder Mysteries.

The Osbournes Want To Believe S1

Paranormal investigator Jack Osbourne is determined to convert his sceptical parents, Ozzy and Sharon, aka the Prince and Princess of Darkness, into full-fledged believers in the supernatural. He’s selected his most convincing video footage, including scenes of haunted dolls and poltergeist activity, to bring them around.

Homicide: Hours To Kill S3

Investigators in this true-crime series take us inside the first 24 hours on the case as they construct a timeline of a murder, work out the motive and identify the killer. This season’s cases include the murders of Alan Helmick, Cassie Jo Stoddart, Josh Niles and Amber Washburn and Menachem Stark.

Murder She Solved S1

True-crime series. Canada’s lead female crime scene investigators like Detective Keri Harrison and Forensic Detective Annette Huys take us inside high-profile cases in eight one-hour episodes. Cases include the disappearance of freelance journalist Louise Ellis, attacks on Toronto’s gay community, and a high-stakes case in the criminal underworld.
